SWEN7x7 is a brand new exciting board game that can be played from two to 4 players or two teams. SWEN7x7 is named after the points of the compass and the 7x7 game grid it is played on.
SWEN7x7 combines strategy, cunning, and luck and can be played in three different ways.
Board only Play - In board only play the two players or teams place their posts on the board and then add pieces onto any space one by one. After the final piece is placed the game starts and the last individual or team with a piece remaining is the winner or the game is a draw. A player or team may concede at any point if their position appears hopeless.
Play with Objective Cards - Objective cards are included with each set and these may be used to add a different angle to the game. The objectives which may (for example) involve getting specific pieces to specific sides of the board need to be kept secret from other players until the objective is met.
Play with Objective and Wild Cards - Wild cards are intended to add fun, humour and an element of chaos to the game play. Wild cards are best suited to when the game is being played in a party or loud pub environment.
As with some other competitive board games things may get out of hand and the makers of SWEN7x7 can accept no responsibility for any injury or hurt feelings arising out of playing the game, this applies especially when Wild Cards are used.
The board is a 7x7 grid with a rotary marker occupying the centre position. The rotary marker has the four compass points which are a key aspect of the game.
There are 4 types of play pieces:
The Posts: Two of these are placed on the board at the beginning of play. These are fixed for the duration of the game and block any other piece from occupying their space.
The Domes: These can move one space in any direction.
The Tri-Prisms: These move diagonally.
The Square-Prisms: These move up, down, left or right.
Full game rules in multiple languages are provided with the set.
